Best Practices for Designing with Corjl Prints
Designing for Corjl Prints offers a seamless way to expand your product line into the physical space while leveraging Corjl’s unique online editing experience. To ensure high-quality output and a smooth customer experience, follow these best practices.
🎨 Designing for Print vs. Digital
Resolution & Format
- Use 300 DPI for all print-ready files to ensure crisp output.
Safe Zone & Bleeds
- Add 0.125" (1/8 inch) bleed on all sides to background images uploaded to Corjl that fill the canvas. This will add a total of 0.25-inches extra for width and height to your images.
Make sure your background image or any photos extend all the way to edge of the bleed whether the bleed is visible to the customer or not.
- Keep text and important design elements at least 0.25" inside the trim line to avoid cutoff. This is called the "safety line."
Color Considerations
- Colors on screen may appear more vibrant than in print, especially with bright or overly saturated tones. Slight variation is normal — consider softening bright/neon colors for more predictable results.
- In addition, please avoid font colors that are too light or pastel in color. Very light colors, especially for smaller text will be difficult to read on the printed page.
No Need to Worry About Export Formats
- Corjl handles the export process and prepares files for printing for you. No need to manage file formats — just focus on a clean and clear design.
