Listing Settings - SEO Tab
Corjl is a JavaScript-powered web application and search engines like Google are actively working to crawl, index and display such content in search results. (learn more at Google)
Corjl has a new SEO feature that assists search engines and enables your demo pages to show up more prominently in search results. Your gated (paid-for) content will of course remain inaccessible to search engines.
Why would I need this?
With this feature, you can control a few of the most important SEO elements search crawlers look for so your demo pages have the potential to reach a wider audience and attract more potential customers. This is not a complete SEO solution, rather a way to assist your pages that already rank or can rank for niche keywords.
Accessing the SEO feature
- Select "Listings" from the top navigation menu.
- Select one of your listings.
- Select the "SEO" tab to display the SEO fields.
Three SEO fields will be displayed, in the following order:
- SEO Title: A keyword-focused descriptive title that will be displayed in search engines.
- SEO Description: A brief summary of your listing that will be visible in search results, directly underneath the SEO title.
- SEO Page Description: Descriptive text about the designs in this listing to help search engines understand your content better. This text will be visible to your customers.
How to Use the SEO feature
By implementing this feature, you can control some of the information that search engines will display in search results. Write concise and relevant information related to the content of your listing to improve your chances of ranking.
SEO TITLE
Write a concise, relevant title that accurately describes your listing content (size, topic, other descriptors). Only approx. 65 characters will be displayed in search results so this field is limited to 65 characters.
NOTE: The default meta title in Corjl 1 was displaying only the word "Corjl" in this field. With Corjl 2.0, the name of your listing will be added by default to the meta title tag.
Example default meta title tag (if you leave as is): "Unicorn Party Pack 001"
Example optimized SEO title: "Pink Unicorn Princess Birthday Invitation 5x7 Party Pack"
SEO DESCRIPTION
Write a relevant, concise snippet of information that's useful for users to understand the contents of your demo page. Only approx 165 characters will be displayed by search engines.
For example: "The Unicorn Pastel Floral Thank You Note Card 5x7 party pack is the perfect way to express your gratitude in style."
SEO PAGE DESCRIPTION
The text placed in the SEO Page Description will appear as an information bubble for end users on the demo page. Unlike the other two SEO fields which are "SEO Meta" data, this field is part of the <body> content of your listing page.
The intent of this field should be to write accurate and descriptive information related to how your template works, what's contained in it and how users might use or implement the information presented on your template.
An info bubble will be present in the customer view. When users hover-over this section, the SEO PAGE DESCRIPTION content will appear and be fully visible.
There is no limit to the characters placed in this field but it shouldn't be excessive or include non-related content or long lists of keywords, as Google and other search engines will choose to ignore or unindex your demo page.
