How to Sort and Organize with Categories

Once you have enabled the Category (or Categories) of your choice, you can then create and name specific tags, folders, or collections to use for sorting and organizing your assets.

🚨 Please note: Images, Fonts, Designs, and Listings will all have their own unique Categories.

Pro tip: Categories can be used to quickly and easily add groups of images or fonts to your designs. When you add a Category to a design in the Design Assets area, anytime you update or add new items to that category, it will automatically be added/updated in any design that is assigned that same category.

📂Creating Category Options

To get started, you will first need to begin creating Folders, Collections, or Tags to use for sorting.

  1. Find the desired category type in the Left Panel area.
  2. Hover over the category type where you would like to add a new entry and click on the Create+ button.

  3. In the pop-up window, type in the name for the new category and then click CREATE. The new category will appear in the expanded list of category options.

➕Adding Assets to Categories

You can add items to a created Category in two ways:

  1. Click and drag selected item(s) over to the desired category name in the left panel area.
  2. Drag the category name over to the asset thumbnail and add the item that way.

Selecting Multiple Assets

Assets can be added one at a time, or multiple assets can be selected and added as a group in the following ways:

  • Ctrl+click to select multiple individual designs
  • Shift+click to select a range of designs
  • Clicking and dragging the mouse over multiple items to select them

These steps also apply to sorting and categorizing Designs and Listings.

⏬Child Folders or Collections

You can create nested subfolders or subcollections (called child folders and child collections) that appear underneath main folders and collections to better organize your assets.

To create these child categories:

  1. Click on the main category to open it
  2. Next, click on the Create Child Folder/Create Child Collection button in the upper right of the page:

The new child category will appear beneath the original category in the left panel area.
