Text Formatting in Designs

There are multiple ways to edit text and change the text formatting in the Design Editor.

Clicking once on a text box will allow you to edit the text in the Text Editor Box in the upper section of the right panel; clicking again will let you edit directly on the canvas.

Double-clicking on the text box will also allow you to edit directly on the canvas, and will open a moveable floating bar with text formatting options as shown:

You will also seethe following Text Formatting options in the far right panel, beneath the Text Editor Box:

  • Font selection – Click on the drop-down box to select from fonts that have been added for use in the design. Fonts are added here in two ways: one, by dragging and dropping the font onto the canvas for use in the design, and the second is by right-clicking on the name of a font in the Fonts panel and selecting Add to Customer fonts.
  • Font size – Click on the font size number to select from the font size drop-down, or type in the desired font size. Use the plus or minus buttons to adjust as well.
  • Font color – Click on the color box to change the font color. Select a color or use the Color Picker (eyedropper tool) to select from the colors on the canvas (click on the eyedropper icon button to turn on and off). You may also type in a Hex color code in the provided field. There are two additional features available in the Color Picker:
    • Color Swatches – Save colors as Swatches for use by customers by clicking the Add color button (right click on the color Swatch to delete).
    • Color Palettes – Click here to learn more about creating Color Palettes.
  • Font glyphs – View the glyphs (characters) available for the selected font by clicking the Glyphs button. To add a glyph or special character to text, insert the cursor in the text box or text editor box where you want to add the glyph, then locate and click the desired character in the character map.
  • Text format options – Apply Bold, Italics, Strikethrough, Underline, All Caps, and Superscript formatting to all or highlighted text in a text box.
  • Text alignment – Use these options to align text to either the left, right, centered or full justified position in the text box.
  • Bulleted or Numbered list – Format lines of text as either a bulleted or numbered list.
  • Character and Line spacing – Adjust the character and line spacing using sliders or by entering a number manually provided field.
